Vocational Training Program
In an endeavour to give people from the lesser developed parts of the country an opportunity to develop skill sets and become financially independent, Sanchar has a structure of programs for their benefit. The program designed specifically for the Youth category is Vocational skills Training Program (VTP).
Sanchar InfoTech’s Skills Training Program seeks to achieve the following objectives:
- To train unemployed & underemployed youth with employable skills sets
- To help economically disadvantaged youth in starting their own businesses
- To do the above in a sustainable and scalable way
Now renowned by the name of PACE, this skills training program has an organized 4-tier structure in place, with activities streamlined to meet the goals successfully.
Structure of PACE:
Tier I – Knowledge Centres
On a 2-3 Acre Campus designed for Industrial Training, the program is conducted mainly in Rural Areas, and tie-ups are in place for Corporate Partnership for Training in specific industrial domains.
Tier II – SkillsCentres / Foundation Course
The organization has hired places of 1500 sq ft. in semi-urban and rural locations in order to teach wide variety of market relevant skills.
Tier III - Saksham Centres
These Centres revolve around Village, Community, Slum, Home-Based training; where the scope of operations is a smaller area such as a school or house. The program is aimed at teaching specific skills like cooking, tailoring, etc. and also has a Finishing School Program for women.
Tier IV - Entrepreneurship Development
Conducted at the Village / slum level, it provides multiple support in terms of financial, training, market linkage, quality related help and more.
